Hi All!

Sorry for cross-posting, the same thread in D700 forum.

I have Nikon 82mm ED Fieldscope and D700. Nikon does FSA-L1 adaptor that convert scope into long lens (1200 for FX). So anyone use such combo? I know that scope not actually "proper" telelens, but I am not "teleguy" and not going to use it extensivelly. But from time to tome I might be happy to use it if IQ is acceptable.

Any comment (and photos are preferable)

Thanks.

I rented one in Yellowstone (82mm ED and DSLR adapter). I found it difficult to use, although it might get better with practice. Main problem was vibration made shots blurry even with remote trigger. I think I could have tightened down things a bit better - the 3rd bear shot was after tightening things up.

My personal opinion is these shots were not worth the trouble. Just enjoy viewing with the scope, and keep a long lens handy on your DSLR.

Here's sample shots:

Thanks a lot for commenting. I did not expect anything extraordinary and thus $399 + P&H does not seems to be super-bargain. Will just enjoying it as scope - it is fantastic one.

Thanks
