Will this battery work with the HX100v

Found this on ebay but it says its for a camcorder but its an NP-FH50. Will it work for the HX100V

The batteries have the right number and appear to be the right size and have the correct connectors to fit in an HX100V. Whether these batteries will work in that camera or in any camera, I can't guarantee. The price is very good and the charger alone is worth that much------if it will work with Sony batteries.

I bought this exact package from this same seller for my HX100V. The two batteries perform equally as well as the original Sony battery. I was just on vacation where I shot hundreds of shots each day plus a few videos, and had the GPS on all the time. I always had power to spare at the end of the day.

I have never used the in-camera charger that came with my camera, so I can't compare how fast this charger works compared to the factory charger. The A/C plug folds away underneath, so it fits nicely in a camera bag along with my spares.

My one minor observation is that the batteries don't snap into the charger very securely. I guess they don't really need to. After all, you plug it into an outlet and leave it alone for a couple hours.

I'm quite happy with the purchase.

I also got the same deal, but made an offer of $20.00 and had it in 2 days. Well worth it, batteries are rated at 1000 mah , they show time left in minutes like the original Sony's and seem to last longer....!!!! I have used the generic batteries for many years starting with them for my Sony 828 and never had a problem or failure with any of them or the generic chargers. I guess in some ways the included Sony in camera charger is a plus since it can also be used as an external power supply for long video and still shoots....!!!! I also use the generics with my Panasonic FZ35 and again perfect results with them.....!!! Highly recommended, major savings......!!!!

Thanks for the info. Just made an offer.

I've made an offer too. Two weeks ago. Unfortunately the post to my country is sloooooooooooooow. I expect to get them about next two weeks. As soon as I get this set I wiil try it out and let you know how it works. Im not sure but I'm afraid of the kind of cabel of charger. The wall power socket in Europe is quit different so my question is if the power cabel is detachable to change it for Europe proper one. To dispel my doubts about it before I get the charger I do appreciate if sb. could put the photo of charger power socket and "the end" of the power cord here.

Ernet, almost all of this type of camera and video equipment is made to run on AC power from under 100 volts, up to 240 volts. The power plug on the charger will probably be for the 120 volt 60 hertz connections we have in the USA. But, you could use an adaptor plug of the kind that American tourists bring with them to power their gadgets with the 50 hertz 240 volt electrical current of Europe.

Is this battery referenced above "safe" to use on my expensive HX100v?

I'm always skeptical of knock off brands that might damage my camera or not work as well as the Sony Battery (which Sony probably doesn't make anyway).
