Hi,

Went to Balloch a few months ago with the XZ-1 (fantastic camera!) and i wanted to share some of the pictures i took.

First time uploading, all C&C welcome ;-)

Some real nice shots! Balloch is close to where as big city?

Thanks for the comments :-)

Balloch is in Loch Lomond which is in Scotland, it really is quite beautiful. Got lucky while i was there the weather was great and i managed to get my first sun set shots :-)

Some real nice shots, and yes, lucky. Seems lots of shots turn out that way, just keep the luck going.
Thanks for the info, I've never been to Scotland, yet?

Pretty colors with the first one, and nice scenes with the rest. Where's Balloch?

Glad you both like the shots.

Balloch is in Lock Lomond which is in Scotland near Glasgow. Its a beautiful place when the weather is nice (sadly that doesn't happen often). But its definitely worth the vist if either of you come to Scotland :-)

Great shots - thanks for sharing!

Can you post the EXIF info? The landscape shot reminds me of a lakeshore of a high altitude lake in the U.S. I'm thinking this is Scotland? Nice flower shot.

The settings been talked about from a fellow poster are: Contrast +1, Sharpness +2, Saturation -1 and ISO 200 for JPG's. I believe Sat. -1 is to reduce the "smearing" issue. Thanks for posting.

Glad you liked the shots. Yup its in Scotland near Loch Lomond.

Im not sure how to post EXIF info imbedded in the photos. Is there a DPForum guide that tells you how to use their upload system to do that?

Until i find out how to imbed the information i can guess for you and say that I normally go with an ISO of 100, (200 in low light), an aperture of around 4 and a shutter speed that is as high as possible.

My in camera settings are all the default settings (0,0,0,0). However i do PP them though Aperture, mostly with the auto enhance button because im really new to PP :-P
