Fuji s200exr sync cord

I recently ordered a wireless flash for my camera and a trigger for it, but when I put the trigger on the hot shoe, nothing, I can make it flash by manually pressing the button but I cant make the camera trigger the flash, it has a sync cord but the camera has no place to plug it in. help,lol

Did you set it to external flash in the menu?
