Hope someone can help with this. I just bought a Lowel Id light and Bescor battery pack. I used it at a wedding recently and the results I got were absolutely incredible!

The problem was that the battery pack only lasted 10 minutes. This really surprised me as I was just thinking what usenis any kind of portable lighting system that only lasts 10 minutes!?!

Does anyone know of a longer lasting solution? I'm a complete noob with video lights...and am not to savvy on the tech, but I have to believe there is a way to get it to last longer. Any advice would be much appreciated! Thanks in advance.

Normally a battery pack should last a lot longer. There are several things to consider when buying a battery. First, you need to know the voltage and mAH of the battery pack. That will give you the Watt Hours of the battery pack. What is the voltage and watts of the bulb in the video light. Lets us assume that both are 12 volts. Let us assume that the pack is 2.00 mAH. that would give you 24 watt hours. If the bulb is 1 watt, that would give you 24 hours of use. If the bulb was 24 watts, that would give you 1 hour of use. If the bulb was 100 watts, that would give you about 14 minutes of use.

Second. It could be that the battery pack was sitting on the dealers shelf for a long time and it may be possible that the battery is starting to die out from not being used.

Third, It may be possible that you need a large battery pack for the video light that you have.
