Well not as good as I would like but for big birds going across eventually you'll get a good shot, the lens focus limiter of only 3 meters does not help too it should have been around 6m to make it faster . I haven't tried it with SLTs yet they are supposed to be faster

I suspect a parent feeding it's young. Even after they leave the nest the instinct to take care of them is still there, at least for awhile.
