I read in some photography books that some of the most "pleasant" and "successful" portraits are taken in a setting with a "green background".

So I tried it.

Well, the kids hardly stayed still and when they did, there was no solid "green background", but at least I got some grass in it.

Camera Olympus E-3
Exposure 0.004 sec (1/250)
Aperture f/2.0
Focal Length 90 mm
ISO Speed 200

very nice portraits, especially the first one.

I think, so I exist.

The green is good ;-) add that to the red and white + the little bit of black really make this a striking combination to be proud of.

Thanks all for the comment.

Yes, these were taken with the 35-100 (on E3), a lens that makes an ordinary shot look good. Great lens for stuff like this.

I prefer the first shot as well mainly because the background is mostly of the grass and isn't as busy (and has no overexposed sky) as the 2nd photo.

thanks again
