AC Adapter EH-5a/EH-5 (For D700)

No, it is NOT required to remove the battery when using the EH-5/a.

The EH-5/a comes in very handy for intense sensor cleaning sessions.

Thanks a lot for your reply. Much appreciated. Will need it when connecting my camera to my PC running the Camera Control Pro when taking macro shots. Thanks for the tip on cleaning the sensor.

Just my 2-pence worth: the EH-5 (and EH-5a) doesn't charge the battery while it's plugged-in so it's useful to start with a fully charged battery in the camera, just in-case of power outage (if you suffer such things) or you pull the plug somehow.

Good suggestion.
