Hi All,

I would like to share some pics from a recent trip to South West China, covering the Provinces of Yunnan, Guizhou and Guangxi. I had the following equipment with me:

D300
N 12-24
N 17-55
N 70-300 VR
N 35 1.8

The whole bag was pretty heavy but I was glad to have all the a/m lenses since they were all used quite a lot.

Hope you enjoy,

Some great shots. Would love to see that area in person. I'm curious about the haze in the tower karst landscape shots. Was that from water vapor or pollution? Just curious.

Wonderful work you have done, noticed many were shot wide.

I use a similar combo, D300, 17-55 2.8 Nikkor, 70-300VR Nikkor,
and Sigma 10-20 f4-5.6.

Again well done series...;-)

I enjoyed looking at every single photograph. It's a breathtaking part of
China. Thank You for putting these up. I just bought a D300s and I am
looking forward to do similar shots in asia next year.

Thanks Greg. The karst landspace pics were taken during the River Li poad trip from Guilin do Yangshou, it's one of the biggest attractions in South West China. Even though it's usually sunny and warm there more or less mist is always present. I guess it's more of water vapor effect than pollution. The mist adds some mystery to the landscape.

That mist is recorded in the classical Chinese landscape paintings from centuries ago !
