I'm new to digital, new to this forum, and have an S2.

In my first venture out to take pictures, the LCD cover was lost. Does anyone know where to buy them. I've looked all over (EBay, Google, fujifilm) and can't find anywhere that sells them.

You might try the dealer to see if they can order one from Fuji, or try Fuji yourself.

I took mine off and have never used it since. too bad it isn't clear, it should be. At least you have an LCD with a hard-to-scratch protective laminate over it, unlike the D series Nikons that scratch very quickly if a protection cover isn't present.

Couldn't you use the transparent PDA protection films? Cut it to the right size and put it over the lcd. Should hold for some time and they are perfectly transparent.

I know I would need something harder. When carrying my D1X, the lcd cover got really dinged up because it hits against my backpack clips. I always try to avoid it, but eventually it still happens. Maybe Hoodman will come out with something for the S2.

Try (800) 659-3854 (x3451)

The cover is listed as a separate part in manual so most likely available.

For those of you who replied, thank you very much. This is a great forum. I'm so addicted, I have to look at least a couple times a day.

I tried calling Fuji service dept., but never got through to a real person (I've been very busy and haven't had time to wait).

The answer to replacement LCD cover appears to be on http://www.hoodmanusa.com/procap.htm . This is such a new product they don't have stock, but are taking orders over the phone (you can't order on the web).

It's $19.95 for two acrylic covers and are anticipated to be available the middle of this month.

Happy shooting.

One of the first things I did after unpacking my S2Pro was to put on screen protectors for all three LCD displays. (okay, so I took a few pictures first!)

I had some protectors I bought from http://www.conceptkitchen.com for a PDA (anyone remember the newton?)

I've got mine covered with a small piece of saran wrap, as a temporary measure until the new ones are available.
