Look at some of my recent posts with the 85mm, and I think you recognize her again.

;)
I recognized this girl from some snaps taken of her previously by someone with a Canon 135 F2L

She doesn't seem to have aged a day.

Great shots BTW!!

Wow! Extremely beautiful lady, nice 'in-character' feel, excellent photography. Amazing at that aperture, actually.

No matter what she knows how to pose for the camera. She is a pro at this. Beautiful pictures indeed. Its has a fantasy feel to it.

I've shot her at the festival for the past several years. I finally asked if she wanted to do a regular shoot this year. She's very nice and easy to work with.

It is amazing to watch her work the crowd. She knows what she is doing, no doubt. I enjoy just watching sometimes.... other times, I can't help but keep snapping. It's like photographic crack.

Beautiful work with a beautiful model. Great color and poses. At f/1.4, I would have expected a smoother bokeh on the twigs, but without a reference, I can't say how other lenses would have rendered the same scene. I can say that at f/2.8, thd 70-200mm VR1 usually had an odd double bokeh on stick-like backgrounds while the 85mm f/1.4 usually did a smoother job at the same aperture.

He said it was at f1.8, and yes I agree... some of the bokeh is looking busy-ish.

She's not far enough away from the background to get it totally smooth and dreamy.

Since the subject covers the middle of the frame, it's hard to see the progression of the bokeh at the same distance from the sensor. I suspect that Nikon's improvement of border and corner sharpness for the new 85mm f/1.4G may simply be providing consistent bokeh rather than the excessively smooth bokeh of the f/1.4F predecessor.

The 85mm 1.4G's bokeh and color are both fabulous.
Yes, the pictures you posted have excellent color, and generally, great bokeh. However, the image quality reminds me of the 24-70mm f/2.8 : excellent sharpness, color and contrast across the frame . Without any artistic distinction even at f/2.8, there is little reason to buy the 85mm f/1.4G other than for special effects at f/1.4 It would be very useful to see more examples in the f/2.2 range for the new 85mm f/1.4G.
