First challenge win and I was using the LX5

After 34 non-winning entries into challenges using my Nikon D5000 I finally got a win using my new LX5; what a great camera. I purchased it mainly to take along on bike rides as the D5000, even with the 35 1.8 attached, was always getting in the way. Thanks to all those on this forum who posted their comments and examples of what the LX5 could do. Your input was so valuable in helping me decide to add the LX5. I knew this would be a good camera but I'm so impressed how sharp this camera is when shooting wide open. I'm looking forward to using the LX5 every single day.

Nice picture.
Same goes for me.

With my DSLR I sometimes make myself too much pressure to make good photos, since its a DSLR.

I bought the Lumix to take it with me anytime and since then I produce more good picture and it just feels easier.

It is easy to make yourself leave your home and just go looking for a nice picture.
No lens change, no people starring and so on.
And the output is almost as good as a DSLR, just the depth of field.

By activating the macro focus and keeping the camera very close to your subject, you can even control that.

I am looking forward to shooting with it every day, since you can just put it in your pocket.
