Canon 40D and the HDR photos

In the gallery you had several really good shots - such that they were not immediately HDR - just looking good . Those images with something green were of some reason unnatural - or even surrealistic.
B&W images were really good - technically especially

Hello KariP!

Thank you for the comments about the gallery photos!

The ones you mention as surrealistic are some of the first HDR photos I took. And I keep them in the gallery to see my own progress and path. They are indeed surrealistic :-)

Hello again!

Uploaded a new HDR photo and hoping for some more C&C! And as mentioned in the first post, you can also view more photos in the blog and gallery.

I like the photo, though I wonder about the "HDR" tag - there doesn't seem to be enough dynamic range here that it couldn't be captured in a single image. Was the sunlight from the right extremely bright?

If so, I guess the question indicates that the process was well executed, as I can't tell.

At the other extreme, the last two images seem to be glowing from the processing - too much for me.

Hello rdspear!

The images was composed of 3 exposures, handheld. To keep the brick wall from "floating" into the pilars in front, I darkened the back to get a more feel of depth to the image. This was mid-day, and the light was bright, but not harsh.

The last two images? I guess you talk about the first images at the SmugMug gallery. Glad to hear you comment about them, they were one of the first HDR images I processed (must be moving on two years now)

Thank you for the comments :)
