Vehicle Camera Mount

I am looking for a recommendation on a vehicle camera mount to allow for a 500mm lens to be stabilized while shooting from within the vehicle. Would be interested in what people are currently using.

If the vehicle is open topped with roof rack rails the Manfrotto 035 clamps on the rail and with the (optional extra) tripod head screw (either common size) takes any good tripod head. The maximum load is rated at 15 Kg.
It can be a very stable set-up. The UK price is about £40.

I should have been more clearer with my request; looking for a window mount where the vehicle will be stationary and used as a blind for bird photography.
