Mountainsmith "Kit Cube"

Found this Mountainsmith "Kit Cube" online while looking for cases & pouches for my E-P1. Looks like a great way to convert any ordinary backpack or bag into a photo bag, especially for those folks who like to be outdoors and keep their camera with them while hiking, etc.

Originally was going to go with the Domke inserts, but they lack a top closure (and bottom padding) and I didn't want my camera rolling around in my backpack.

After stumbling across it I had to order one. This should be a great setup. Here is the link in case anyone is interested. Amazon carries them for a very reasonable price.

I just got one of those recently and put it inside a SpecOpsTech Mission Go Bag.

It makes a great and inconspicuous working bag for m4/3 gear and provides a lot of protection.

I use a large bag for my dslr and just purchased the Mountainsmith Zoom small for my Panasonic GF1. The camera plus Oly 14-150mm with filter attached fits perfectly with enough room to spare to carry along the 20mm 1.7. No room for anything else inside but pockets for memory cards. A nice small easy to carry bag that's a perfect fit for these type cameras.

Thanks for pointing this out. I've actually been trying to make one of these myself to fit into my Day model Lumbar pack - and I've had limited success.

I like using this shoulder/fanny pack to hold my gear as it does not scream "I HAVE A EXPENSIVE DSLR CAMERA IN HERE"

Just got mine from REI - fits perfectly in my Day lumbar pack. My D300 + 135/2 + 50/1.2 fit fine with room to spare.
