Street Photography with the 16mm

Thanks, I really enjoyed it.

1. You were paid by Sony to do this, no?

2. The video of the street events has lowered resolution and does not look very good. Why is the video at 720p - the NEX 5 takes 1080. Why convert and lower the quality? There are much better examples of the quality of video elsewhere.

Sony did not get their money's worth.

It's way loud for the mics -10db Pad's is usefull for such circumstances but SONY forgot this....

This guy works for SONY. This is from his website:

"Mostly I shoot pro sports, although the past couple years I've been also training staff for Sony and testing camera prototypes."

So, he got the viewfinder from the corporation directly.

I think that posters should reveal if they are paid to flog the product. But at least they should post HD videos correctly.

He evidently uses cameras and lenses from various manufacturers. I'm not sure he is paid by anyone, but does get some lenses and cameras to use. The contract he has seems to be one of using their photo equipment for feedback and for letting others seem him use it. In return he gets state of the art equipment to use daily.

Our local paper has a Sunday column where one of their reporters drives a new car every week from some manufacturer from a Kia to a Caddy and writes how he feels about it. Rarely does he ever cut one up, but does compare from time to time.

This guy you complain about does these videos for his own blog spot. If he can sell manufacturers on the idea of letting him use their products for free....well...good for him.
