Pentax kx white+55-300 for 729!!

Hello,

Amazon finally has KX white with twin kit lens(18-55mm & 55-300mm) but the seller is Portable guy and there are no reviews for that camera. Is it safe to go for this deal? any one has bought kx from this seller?

I haven't bought from this seller but I understand you can use Amazon as a leverage in case of any issues. However I am surprised to see the price as $729 because I had bought same kit (with black body) from Amazon in $650 in December. After 7 months I would expect it to be available at same price if not less.

That was a low price used to push holiday sales I believe. Amazon now has the same kit for $810 US. The price at Christmas really was a great value for the Pentax K-x, as you could have resold the 55-300 for $250 or so and only had about $400 in the K-x. I am sure it will come down again.

You could have resold the 55-300 for $250 or so and only had about $400 in the K-x. I am sure it will come down again.

Right but its a very good lens and I use it quite often outdoors. On the other hand I quickly outgrew 18-55 and ended up with some primes.
