The thing is there was a news item way back that Nikon has stopped production of the D40 and now they're making them again?

Weird. Nikon's site even lists online retailers selling the D40... and they're all in stock.

I occasionally visit the Nikon website. Ever since I got my D40 a little over a year and a half ago I don't remember visiting the website and NOT seeing the D40 listed. In other words, as far as I can remember it has always been there.

Its just so nice is my view , the lovely D40 , I hope they continue making them for years to come , in case they dont we have three, one in reserve still unused .
