That's what Digital-photography-School said before their review was removed

wow

And more screens

For those who still refuse to believe that there is no built in stabilization

ISO TESTS

ISO 200

ISO 800

ISO 1600

ISO 3200

ISO 12800

That looks like good high-ISO performance to me. I just hope Sony doesn't do their typical "lets milk the early buyers" too much and aggressively prices them to build market share.

With this kind of iso performance who needs a flash :P
I just hope they will release a F1.4 or F1.8 prime soon

Wider angle and fish eye adapters for current lens already confirmed.

It will be interesting to see what the "external OPTICAL viewfinder" looks like for that 18-200mm lens. The "external OPTICAL viewfinder" will probably be huge!

Actually their review has been updated now, it says electronic viewfinder will also be available for 180 Euro

I'm still amazed by the ISO performance o.o to be honest

Okay, that makes more sense. Have you seen a photo of the EVF? I wonder how big it is? Also, if the EVF is 180 euros do you also know the price of the NEX3, NEX5, and lenses?

Didn't see a picture of the viewfinder yet and for the prices see my first post for the European price (It should be cheaper in America like always)

The RED NEX doesn't look that bad and no one would ever take you seriously shooting with this camera lol so it's kinda nice for street photography wont intimidate people with pro looking DSLR

Looks pretty sharp cam! We will need to see about performance (but Sony is usually pretty ok) Not sure if I want to mount that big barrel of 18-200 on a tiny body - I see little practical sense, but the 16mm looks great!
I am honestly looking forward this, if it is any good I will get one.

I wonder how long it will take to appear in the store - I hope Sony is is fast.

I just saw it. :-) I have been flipping back and forth looking at several sites and threads and forgot that you had posted the price info in your OP.

Yes, that is right. Looks like just a typical digicam, except for the big lens. :-)

Hahaha, Few years back I remember everyone wanted a SLR camera look because nobody takes you serously with small PS, now everyone want a PS looking camera for the exact opposite reason.
It just shows how easily can a good PR put hand in our pockets.

But granted, the red NEX will definitely go with my wifes shoes (which is probably the true reason for its color, not some non-intimidating street look, trust me)

Yeah right. Just like your typical APSC sensor digicam that you can attach various lenses too, appears to do well at high ISO, shoots 7 FPS in RAW + JPEG, can adapt your DSLR lenses to etc. etc. etc. :-)

Yeah just like one of those typical Digicams. :-)

We will see what the reviewers say but it looks very interesting to me for when I don't want to haul around my A700.

I did not say it was "like a typical digicam." I said it "Looks like just a typical digicam, except for the big lens." Huge difference.

If it performs well with their live view then I think it will do very well in the reviews. It's a camera in a new segment category so there's not much competition. For everyone that planned on maybe using their current A-mount lens on this camera are probably disappointed that they will no longer have image stabilization.

The high ISO is impressive but you can see some NR done as low as ISO 1600 with loss of detail, even on the small size photos shown. You can see it in the orange.

I should emphasize that the loss of detail/smearing is really not considered a bad thing for the market sector that this is aimed at and most people aren't as anal as most of us are here.
