Departing with my AF 300 f4, looking for a 300mm AF 2.8

This is a gem of a lens, but I need a 300mm 2.8.

A few of these older lens come up for sale every now and then, so it will be a Christmas present. Most of my work is indoors, low light. I have a 70-200 2.8 Tamron and shoot at 800 iso to 1250 iso, where the 300mm f4 is 1600+. I use a D300.

Here are some shots with the D300 and the 300mm f4. Most were at iso 2000. My 70-200 was not available that night.

From shot 16 on is the 300mm. I am not the best photographer in the world, but those in the pictures love the shots

Great shots , did you use a monopod any support , they look very sharp,

Lots of hits and misses, but the youth loved the shots.
