Pro focus mode

Hi all. I am very interested in seeing some samples using the "pro focus mode". If anyone would be so kind as to post some I would appreciate it. This feature, if it works as advertised sounds fantastic to me. As we all know achieving shallow dof in a compact cam is near impossible.

Hi all. I am very interested in seeing some samples using the "pro focus mode". If anyone would be so kind as to post some I would appreciate it. This feature, if it works as advertised sounds fantastic to me. As we all know achieving shallow dof in a compact cam is near impossible.

I will leave it up to you to decide if the snapshot below that I took of my mother-in-law using the pro focus setting shows that pro focus is a failure or if it shows that it is a success. The background was not distracting anyway, but the joints in the panels in the background seem to be in fairly sharp focus. (Of course, I could crop the joints out of the frame, but then you would lose the opportunity to see the efficacy of pro focus.)

Fujifilm F70EXR handheld in mixed natural (through window) and fluorescent light; focal length 11.9 mm (equivalent to 64 mm), pro focus setting forced ISO800, aperture f/5.1 @ 1/27 second (borderline shutter speed for handheld).

Are you confusing pro focus with pro low light? Your excellent shot of a thistle (I am no botanist, and may have just proved it) appears, indeed, to be a pro focus image, but I think that pro focus takes only two exposures, of which one is "intentionally" out of focus.

Pro low light takes four exposures in quick succession at ISO1600 and combines them to reduce noise to approximately ISO200 levels. Here is an example of pro low light that is not pro focus:
