Hi,

Anyone have a recommendation of one over the other? I would be using it with Aperture and my Nikon 18-200 vr and 35mm 1.4 lenses.

Jeff

I chose PTlens, because at the time I got it, LensFix only ran as a stand-alone editor in Aperture, and PTLens ran as a plugin. LensFix is now available as a plugin for Aperture 3. They both have trial periods, so I'd suggest trying both and seeing which one you prefer...

Cheers,
Dustin.

I've used both. PTLens for the past two years. Currently, only LensFix is available as a 64-bit plug-in for Aperture 3. So, I've purchased it and like it's results and interface.

Both seem to be great. The 64-bit issue was my decision point.

Au contraire... PTLens is available as a 64-bit Aperture plug-in. It's also available as a 64-bit Photoshop plug-in. Yes, I know, CS5 isn't out yet. But the plug-in is!

After using both as demos, I think they are pretty close to each other. I couldn't really tell the difference except in maybe adjusting the persepective functions. I will keep looking at them.

I've been using ptlens and just gave lensfix a try.

Lensfix felt more responsive and fluid making adjustments and it appears to allow one to save settings. On the whole though the interface is just as bad as with ptlens.

Overall I still prefer ptlens. The grid can be set much finer with ptlens, aspect ratio seems less of an issue and the reset button is essential when needed.
