Most of my photography has been close up but I also like to do candid photos and to have a take everywhere P&S camera with me. A number of new p&s cameras are both easy to take along and perform well in low light. Besides candid pictures these cameras function well as a sketchbook -- that is for capturing scenes that I think have possibilities that I would like to remember or for experimenting with exposure. However, it seems to me that these cameras should have a niche of their own and that niche might be the urban landscape, something that I have rarely done.
So here are some market shots for your C&C. The question is how to elevate these above the sketchbook. The produce manager, 105mm (EFL), f/4.9@1/250, ISO 2500
Some squash, 105mm (EFL), f/6.3@1/60, ISO 640
Red snapper, 28mm (EFL), f/6.3@1/60, ISO 640
