If the Calumet battery is identical to the Canon LP-E4, then that's a great bargain. I paid $114.33 for one on Amazon on November 25 in anticipation of receiving my new 1D Mark IV. Sometimes I guess it pays to wait.

Although I already got a spare Canon LP-E4 battery last month, I couldn't resist getting another one for $19.99. And it was free shipping UPS Ground. I suppose it's nice to have a couple of spare batteries, especially on cold days that sap batteries. You can't go wrong with $20 either. I did note that the Canon brand is sold for $139.99 on Calumet. I assume there's no real difference other than the name "Calumet" printed on it. I hope so anyway. Thanks for the heads up! :D :D

So funny... You are REALLY exited about this new camera!

I am too, I've been online waiting and waiting... but I didn't preorder so my hopes are with B&H being fair hand having them on available at store...
Some days I'm really happy the next I just think I'll get one in month...
It's a rollercoaster!

Is it that obvious, furano? :D I'm about to bust to get the new camera. I preordered at Amazon the instant the pre-order button showed up. I'm looking to borrow someone's battery charger to charge the spares up and have them ready to rock when the camera shows up. :D

If anybody deserves one, basing on positivims, happiness and posting is you.

I'm anxious but I don't want to let my hope skyrocket since chances are I'll get mine far in the future.

I'm about 10 minutes from their Orange County store and they have them in stock, I won't even have to wait for shipping! When I called the store and asked if they had them in stock or if it was just an on-line sale he was amazed at the price, even he didn't know they were selling them so cheap. I already have the Canon replacement and have never needed to use the spare but for $20 I just can't pass it up.

Thanks for the heads up.

Calumet One Day Sale - LP-E4 $19.99
Happy New Year

But, but.......I need LP-E6's!

I hope it's better than the Adorama special for Olympus a while back. Chinese made versions that I bought two of only to find that they didn't hold a full charge for a week unused and died w-a-ay too quickly when in use.

Some China batteries are as good as it gets but some aren't worth a darn. I wish there was a way to find out which of their factories is doing it right and buy only one of the dozens of names they're sold under.

So good luck to all of you buying these - they ARE worth taking a chance on at that price.

Thanks, Psychic1, but I'm too far from Long Island to make that feasible. I wonder if I could connect it to an extension cord and go running out the front door like a barking dog taking shots of anything that moves? :D Can you tell giddiness is in the air?

You could rent a generator and mount on the back of a pickup and go remote, like a newscrew.

Happy New Year!!!

There's a question as to whether or not the Calumet LP-E4 Replacement Batteries provide the six-stage battery indicator. Frankly, I don't want it if it doesn't. I just tried to call them and they are closed until 6 AM CST tomorrow.

Does anyone here know difinitively about this?

I just ordered one - probably should've ordered two - I wonder if this is a mistake???
