Thanks to this forum and a lot of 'testing' hard work - I am ready to use my GF-1 and to get the best out of it. The rain and wind has finally cleared here (lasted about 7 days) so I hope to get some fine images this week.

I have set up my GF-1 + 20mm f1.7 Lens to handle very much like a 'rangefinder' camera but I have a feeling that I will have to get the external viewfinder to complete the experience!

One extra cost I did not expect was that I 'finally' had to get vary bi-focal glasses to enable me to walk about the street and yet read the LCD on the camera (my reading glasses were to much of a pain to keep putting on to read the LCD and to take off again to see whilst walking)

I have documented this learning curve and posted it on my web - hopefully it will be of use for others.

Many thanks for all your replies and assistance over the last few days.

Thanks for taking the trouble to do this posting. Just got my GF 1 and am attacking the learning curve. Your post helps.
