A100 and MLU

MLU is important feature. Sony does not provide it to the lower end models(and that is their right as they run the business.) But that does not mean that you can not take the same pictures with these cameras than with the ones that have MLU. There are ways to walk around and get the same results. Now if you think that the a500 is the camera that fit your needs, then just get it and enjoy your photography.
What techniques would you use to get around not having MLU?
Last thing, do not let our board expert influence your choice as he might come here now and start bashing at Sony because of MLU.

So you have no answer? Doesn't look like I am in need of an education.

Just to humor you I will answer for you.

1. You will probably tell me I could increase my ISO to move the shutter speed out of the "danger" range. I could but that could make me use a higher ISO than I want to. I don't consider that equivalent as you suggest above.

2. I could use some sort of vibration damping device like a bean bag. That assumes it is practical and an alternative to a tripod. Perhaps in some limited cases but again not equivalent.

So dear photo guru please impart some your knowledge to the unwashed masses.

I choose my students and you quite not the kind of students I deal with. Explaining things to you would be a waste of time.

In other words you've got nothing. Thought so.

I've got enough to make you answer my posts that have nothing according to you.

How very clever you are. Oh look. You got me again :)

But seriously. Do you have techniques other than higher ISO and alternative mounting system (like a bean bag) to help work around not having MLU?

If you do I am sure I am not the only one here who would like to learn about them.
