Nikon lens Warranty Questions In Canada

Is the lens warranty transferrable? If you buy used from Craig list, will the remain warranty on the lens still valid.

In the USA a Nikon warranty is not transferable. You would have to check with local Nikon in Canada.

Nope, the Nikon Canada warranty is not transferable from the original owner (I hate when ads on Craigslist and Kiji say otherwise).

I suppose if the original owner didn't register the warranty and their name wasn't on the receipt, then theoretically I suppose you could get the warranty coverage. However I believe some stores will send in the registration information directly to Nikon.

I always treat used Nikon lenses as not having any manufacturer warranty available and discount my offer as such.
