Hello,

about two weeks ago I took the opportunity to see the Queen Mary 2 coming down the river Elbe between Hamburg and Cuxhaven, Germany. Quite a ship!

Technical stuff:
Canon 1DsMkII, EF 28-2300L IS, Av mode, 1/200sec, f/11, iso200, 220mm

She is certainly no "bathtub trawler". I'm sorry the light didn't cooperate more with you to get a dazzling shot, but thank you for sharing the photo and the "story". Hope you didn't itch too much afterwards from all the bites!

Photography for me isn't about capturing what I see, but about capturing what I feel.

Thanks for looking, Sue. Actually the itching followed me for about a week. About the light: maybe there is a next time and then maybe the light will be the way I imagined it. We'll see.

Hi, your photo of the Queen Mary brought back memories of a Cruise we took on her a few years ago here are a couple of photos that I took, one Docked at St Kitts and the other at Anchor just of St Maarten. Fantastic Ship, thanks Gaz.

Wow, Gaz! Looks even more impressive from close up. Thanks for showing

Hi Rene,

of course I don't mind. One day I will probably understand, why people want to sail on an ocean liner ;-) So far (maybe I'm too young with 46) I cannot find the deep wish to do so. BUT I will try probably.. Thanks for the images--makes me even more interested.
