Recent D300 Nature Shots

Amazing! The first one my favorite.
Thanks for sharing.
Best wishes...

Thanks Ronnie.

You were the inspiration for much of my shooting, certainly for getting the legend that is the 300mm f/4 AFS. I loved your dew covered shots and really make the effort ot get up early to produce similar results.

Still have a way to go before I am at your level though. I recently met a photog while shooting Puffins on Skomer Island in Wales and he too knew of the legend of Gaubert! Keep up the inspirational work.

Cheers

Alex
Good job of getting eye level with the subjects and shooting in that sweet early morning light. You were very fortunate to find numerous subjects. I know how difficult it can be to find subject matter in the dim light of early morning. Everything just seems to blend together. You have to teach yourself how to look into the brush and pick out a subject that nature has designed to not be seen.

It's less about the subject and more about the composition & light- Ronnie Gaubert.

Must have been early in the morning with all those water droplets. Really really nice.

PS Hope the rain stops soon.

as much as I like shooting birds and viewing some of the great shots posted by some of your responders..these are fantastic. My wife is the macro shooter and she is awed and if it were not pouring with monsoon rain she would be heading out now! Great motivational stuff for her and I might even thik about it.
many thanks,

Thanks.

The Sigma 180mm is excellent. I do find it a bit bulky at times and have thought about switching to the 150mm instead. Both are great glass though.

Alex
Hope you enjoy them as much as I did taking them.
