I'm looking for software that will take one image, divide it into parts, and then print those parts on separate sheets of paper, so when all the pages are combined, they make up the image that was divided. And I'm hoping it's a plug-in for Photoshop since that's where I do most of my printing from. Thanks for any assistance.

This is really basic stuff in Photoshop, and without a plugin. I would look at the overall image size, divide that by the number of slices you want, set up guidelines corresponding to the slices, and then use the fixed size selection marquee tool to copy the one selection pre slice, and finally paste each copied selection into new documents. Easy!

OnOne Software's Genuine Fractals can do this - tiling an image into however many pages you want based on selected paper size. This is a Photoshop plugin. Go to their website and try the demo. It's a 15-day license and watermarks the image but at least you'll see if it works for you. It's also the gold standard in image resizing.

If you have an epson printer nearly all of their printer drivers since at least the epson 2200 have included the ability to print 'posters' by doing exactly what you want. I'm guessing that the other printer makers have added similar capabilities as time went along.

No need to buy that lame-ass genuine fractals thing... If your printer/driver does not have this ability you can just use this online/downloadable service http://homokaasu.org/rasterbator/

I've never used it but my non photo inclined friends like it. I believe it makes you a pdf or something.

Thanks for the replies... I'm going to be making some rather large prints which will require multiple sheets of printed material and I need it be rather precise but not necessarily regular in terms of printed area per sheet. Thanks again.

What is the largest size you expect to print and assemble the pieces. Someone commented about Qimage. I have not used the feature in a long time but why not try the Trial Version of Qimage especially since it can print to file(e) that will allow you to view the parts in your image editor before printing on multiple Photo papers.
