Well - I'm a long time reader - so after buying a CX1 - then a GX200 - I thought I'd post at least one picture - this from a GX200. Taken at 4cm using Marco with 3 x optical zoom.

I have to say - after trying Fuji, Olympus, Sony, Nikon, both DSLRs and point and shoots - the CX1 and GX200 are my favourites.

The CX1 for its speed and image quality below ISO200 and the GX200 for its image quality full stop. This photo - taken in my back yard on my fence really illustrates the fantastic Macro of the GX200. Enjoying photography again, no matter what the subject. Personally - I like how the flash caught the spiders eyes.

I've never posted an image on here before - so apologies if I've got this wrong!

Nice shot, from the pics I've seen I think Ricoh does a good job with macro. I also have the CX1 and GX200 bought in that order. The more I use them the more I like the IQ and the controls. I got the EVF for the GX and it really comes in handy.

Wow, fantastic one! I think that spiders are to Ricohnians like cats for the rest of the brands... ;-)

(sorry, it set my entire stream as private and I'm slowly reorganizing my page)

Hi D8TA, terrific shot, it draws you to look deeper!

I'm in a similar position to you, but one camera generation behind! (R8 then GX100) The control available combined with the interface is stimulating me to take pictures. Enjoy!

Just checked your grono.net page, I do not see it is possible to embed an image on the forum page only link to your image(s)

Can anybody else help out......

Great shot by the way :-)

regards.....Paul

-Thanks for all your kind comments. Suffice to say - moreso with the GX200 than he CX1 - I'm really enjoying taking photos again. There really is just something about Richo's.

I clicked "Powiększ fotkę" above the photo which took me to a page with just that photo. Right click on the photo and choose "copy image address" which gave me:

"

", which I pasted into the dpreview post.

I am using Safari browser on a Mac so getting "copy image address" may be different for you but it must be there.

Its only a small thing - no idea what species - but no bigger than a finger nail. Its home - the hole was really small. The world of Macro is a strange place -
