I recently ordered something from B&H and I cannot believe it happened to me again. The ordered arrived well packed, was promptly delivered and was exactly what I ordered. Can you believe it, how do they do it. I have to figure they process like 10,000 items a day yet my orders seem to arrive without any issue.

That is not completely true. I did recently order something and there was a problem guess nobody is perfect. It was a speedotron beauty dish and grid. When it arrived I only had the beauty dish. I called up and the sales person was pleasant and apologized and two days latter the other part arrived. It was astonishing how professional they acted. They did not even question me they just sent grid out to me.

It is so nice to deal with an honest and reliable company one that has remained so for as long as I have been a professional. It just makes my life a little be easier.

How many east coast camera stores are closed on Saturdays, or closed for Passover.

I might have to stick with Amazon if I want the convenience of 24/7 ordering and customer service.

I have purchased several thousand dollars from them through the years, never a problem, and actually I admire them for sticking to their religious beliefs and not being swayed by the mighty dollar, they honour God.

Thank you. This is very gratifying and much appreciated.

There's us, and at least one other comes immediately to mind.

After calling one person slanderous for stating a problem they had, you put in a post like this within the day

I use B&H all the time and like them also, but your motives and actions are very questionable

I am just expressing my own experience with a vendor that I use much like other posts. It did occur to me that rarely do I see someone complementing a vendor for doing exactly what they are supposed to. With that thought in mind I decided to do exactly that. Your opinion is you own and just that an opinion not fact. My own opinions are very important apparently to you as you seem to follow them. I appreciate your interest in what I say here it is flattering.

i love BH and have ordered from the regularly without hassle..

The only thing that really annoys me about BH are the closings..especially the Saturday closings..i live around the NYC area and visit the city every now and then on the weekends ..usually on a saturday..and then there are these long closings..i want a new tripod as im leaving on a trip in a couple of weeks..wanted to head over to BH to check them out..but of course..its freaking closed..for like 8 days!!!!urgh!

but i do question the random nature of your post..sensationalist subject line and then a lame post about what everyone knows about BHs effeciency

The way they've treated me I absolutely refuse to refuse to deal with them.

I have been ordering from B&H since before Al Gore invented the Internet. Having tried many other retailers before, I can say that there is no comparison. Not only are the prices good, but they are knowledgable and professional. In one instance where I had placed an order that included a mid-priced filter, the filter was out of stock, but B&H sent a more expensive model without additional charge.

B&H has inspired me to do a better job at honoring my faith as well.

Henry, how's the new Navy Yard facility coming along?

I also think B&H is a very good store and in general a model business for customer support nd satisfaction, what I took offense to was the OP's motives in this post and behavior in his previous post

I suppose he pointed it out because people don't usually compliment businesses for doing what they are supposed to do. After all, it's what they are SUPPOSED to do. I'm not sure why anyone would compliment that. Believe me, they are doing what they do for a reason. It's called profit, and theres nothing wrong with that. I own a business too, so I understand. I've seen it happen numerous times. Some businesses cut corners on service to make more money. I'm not saying B&H has or hasn't done it. People have never complimented me for doing what I was supposed to do with my business. In fact, I don't need them to do it. Just pay me what I bill in a timely manner and you will get good service. I've ordered from B&H for years, too, and they usually do a fine job but they have made mistakes. I got a non-functioning TC14E and didn't use it until the return policy expired so I diodn't bother to ask for a new one. My mistake. Now I test everything when I get it. They're only human. It's inevitable when you do that much volume.

OK, here is my B&H story. I was at a shoot and the shutter on the D3 went south late on the first of 4 days. I took out the D2Hs and it just could not cut the low light, high shutter needs of the shoot. I called B&H late in the afternoon and ordered another D3 to be delivered the next day. The gentleman on the line said he was not sure he could get it off to me that day because it was late, but he would do the best he could. The D3 arrived about 8:30 the next morning and that day's shoot and the next 3 day's shoots went off without a hitch. Henry, if you are reading, and if you can find this gentlemen, thank him for me.

--Never EVER had a problem with B&H and I order from them almost weekly. B&H is absolutely superb. I fully support them being closed for their religious holidays. It's only camera equipment, it can wait just one more day. Thanks.
