Has anyone taken any courses from the Perfect Picture School of Photography? All the classes are internet based & Bryan Peterson is an instructor for some of the courses. I don't like to sign up for things online unless I know that they are reputable and worthwhile so if anyone has done any classes & can give me an opinion it would be appreciated.

What are your goals? I think your level of satisfaction will hinge on a clear understanding of what you hope to get out of the courses.

What do you think they can provide that you cannot get elsewhere for the same price or less? Have you had any photo training before? Were you satisfied? If not, what do you hope they'll provide that you couldn't get elsewhere?

I visited their web site and they seem to be legit. They seem to be aiming at the photo enthusiast who wishes to improve their photos. I didn't see anything I'd call creative or innovative.

I'm not sure you couldn't get the same worth by spending $95 at the local community college instead of $395 for an online course. Keep in mind, though, I'm biased because I'm a photography instructor. Personally, I think the ability to interact with the instructor and other students makes a classroom setting more valuable.

I agree with this response. I've taken a local community college course in photography ("How to Market Your Photography and Art"). The course cost was nominal, certainly no where near $395, and provided a great deal of content for the cost.

It also was useful to interact with other photographers who were interested developing skills that would enhance the marketing of their images. The course instructor was quite good and ran a stock photo agency in the Tucson area.

I'd definitely recommend looking at local resources, where available, in lieu of taking an online course.

The community college where I live offers one introductory digital photography course which I may enroll in but that is about all there is as far as courses in my area & I would like to take some more specific detailed courses as well. There are a few offered by a local photography store but most of them are on learning how to use whatever brand of camera you purchased.
