Okay, okay, I know. They give us a great looking new body today, and you'd think we'd all be happy as pigs in mud. Oh, but nooooo... we want more.

Seriously things have really been quiet on the lens front lately. I wonder if any new Zuiko's will come out soon?

I haven't heard any rumors at all about lenses. Maybe they're working on m43 glass or something.

Olympus has the best thought out line of lenses of any digicam company out there. It is thoughtful and comprehensive. What additional lenses are you hoping for?

Without you having to answer that question here is my suggestion that I think reflects a lot of ZD lens users desires i.e., more primes; particularly something in the 16 or 18mm f/2 prime range, and a 12 or 14 f/2.8 prime would be nice, better yet a 9 or 11 f/2,8 prime being highly desired.

I admit this is pure speculation..

Since they now had added AF-fine tuning to new cameras I'd expect Olympus to start finally making/releasing those f1.X lenses. And I would not be too surprised to see them going further than the the typical f1.4 .. They have so much new lens tech I'd expect them to be able to make reasonably priced razor sharp f1.2 or 1.0 at normal or short tele range (say 20, 40 or 50mm).

Never mind all that, short and fast primes are ok, but we have some primes, live with them - for us sport/wildlife fans, I would love to see that AF stuff put into fast looooong lenses, how about a new version of the 350/2.8? Now that would be something. Or better yet, how about a 500/4, that would sell for sure! Or maybe a new long tele, like a 100-500 f2-5.6....? Yeah, won't happen, but hey, that would really compliment things a bit eh?

I'm still moaning about a 300mm/f4, I know oly said something about there being not enough demand for one or something a while back so i can only assume they are selling huge amounts of 300mm/2.8's............yeah right!

I second the fast primes request. I looked at the 25mm but wanted something faster for my money. A reasonably priced, fast prime (20, 25, 35, or 50mm that's f1.8 or so) that will autofocus (rather than something requiring an adapter and manual focus) is what I'm looking for. Oh, and under $300...
The 50mm macro f2 is universally recommended but I wish it were cheaper.
I guess you can't have everything.

Well, if you want challenging lenses, at least give Olympus a challenge. A 500/4? Phhhsh, please. 100-500-f/2-f/5.6? No problem. 350/2.8? I don't see any overlap there, especially if priced around $1499.

At least challenge Oly. And the economy. And the market. And physics.

100-500 2-5.6? That would be challenging the Sigzilla in size.

Lenses I'd like to see...

1. 90/100mm macro... make it an F2 to be different... ;)
2. 10-12mm T/S
3. 300/4, 400/5.6
4. Something in the 20-40mm range that is cheap and f1.8.
5. 18-180 Mk 2 with CDAF...

Hi everyone,

I think a Tilt & Shift lens would be pretty nice.
