Based on Steve's Digicam's 9 May review, I followed the link to TigerDirect to order an Atech Flash Technology PRO II card reader. This was 10 May. The link led me directly to a TigerDirect page that promoted buying the Atech via PayPal. Since I had enough money in my PayPal account to cover the purchase, I did what the page said. I have ordered from TigerDirect using my credit card several time and always gotten speedy service. After a week I sent TigerDirect's Customer Service Department e-mail. No responce. On Friday 17 May, I called TigerDirect. After the obligatory 15 minute wait my call was answered by a representative who told me that clearance on a PayPal order takes five business days and that my card reader was scheduled for shipment the following Monday. This may have been policy or simply blaming your own incompetence on the other fellow. My card reader has not yet arrived and I leave early Tuesday for Stockholm for two weeks. When I get home I expect the card reader, if it has not been stolen, to be on my doorstep, soaking wet. Why would anyone choose to pay via PayPal if they knew it would add five business days to their order? I'll never do it again. In fact, I'll go out of my way to never order from TigerDirect again.

I began avoiding Tiger Direct several years ago. They are NOT a good company to do business with. In fact, Steve's Digicams association with Tiger Direct and Ritz (both resellers of questionable integrity) has prompted me to spend less and less time at his site.
