2x2 Turbo SD4 with SD14?

I have a 2x2 Turbo batt that I will have repaired if anyone has successfully used it with a SD14.

In an email, Quantum rep wrote "Currently Quantum does not have a portable power supply for the Sigma SD14."

But if the specs for wallwort are the same with the SD9 and SD14, then it should work, right?

Quantum just hasn't tested it on a SD14 I guess.

Be careful. The battery output has to match that of the wallwart as you said. Some have burned out their dc in connections using external batteries. That was in the SD9 and SD10. Haven't heard anything similar for a long time so the SD14 may not have the problem but as I said be careful.

Maybe that's what went wrong. I thought it was a problem with the Batt. My first SD9 worked well with the batt. after a year of not using, I charged the batt, hooked it up to the sd9 and fried not only wallwart but also the motor that drives the shutter.. Quantum lists the Sd9 as compatible.

The second SD9 (Sigma did a trade for $300) it fried just the wallwart.

Haven't heard
anything similar for a long time so the SD14 may not have the problem
but as I said be careful.

I'll wait and see if anyone has experience with the batt and SD14.

Quantum did not test that camera, therefore, no recommendation for powering it with the Turbo 2x2.
