Focus points Color

I have just a quick question. When the focus points change color from RED to BLACK...what does that mean?

stay 'illuminated' for your edification, for varying lengths of time. Its an info thing for the shooter, nothing else is changing in the camera

Hi Matt,

Ok...got that....but does the change in color from RED to BLACK signify anything? I guess what I am asking is why don't the focus points just stay RED all the time?

Sometimes when I press the shutter halfway down....the focus points will change from RED to BLACK, or sometimes instead of coming up RED as usual....they will come up all BLACK.

Just curious....
