Not looking for discussion or debate on image quality, spec comparisons, auto-focus, etc. Just from a pure functional or technical perspective, has anyone had any luck mounting a Zuiko lens (Om or ED) on a Nikon DSLR (like a D90 or D300), either through the use of an adapter(s) or home-made solutions?
Currently experimenting with OM lenses on my E-510 (have OM 50mm 1.8 and 1.4, 28mm 2.8, Pentax SMC 50mm 1.4, etc.) using an OM to 4/3 adapter and having fun with manual focusing and such.
Considering getting a Nikon D90 or D300 in a few months as a second system to the wonderful Olympus collection and was wondering if there was any possible way to use some of my 4/3 or OM lenses on a Nikon body, granted I'll probably lose the auto-focus functionality and the like. Bit it would be awesome to see if I can use my 11-22mm, 14-54mm or the 35mm macro on a Nikon.
I could probably experiment with some home-made contraptions using bellows, caps and other stuff but there's got to be an easier or simpler way...don't mind manual focusing, as long as I have infinity focus and the Nikon will meter correctly. Image quality is second priority for me at this point. More interested in the technical possibility aspect.
Any thoughts or ideas?
