Well... Last Saturday night I checked ebay for E-10s, as I often have in the last couple of months. There was an auction for an E-10,WCON,MCON,TCON-300, and 128 MB CF. It had not yet reached $900 and there was 13 minutes left. What to do? Quickly read the description and the feedback profile. I decided the guy sounded honest and that he knew what he was talking about. I placed my bid. Presto I won for $910. What a surprise!

I have received the camera and everything is fine. It's not quite perfect. It does have a few stuck pixels, and only one hot one really shows. But, comparing it to what I have been doing (scanning 35mm negatives) this is a minor thing. Because my goal was to make access to the computer darkroom easier, I am thrilled! If anyone has scanned 35mm film and dealt with the grain, even at ISO 100, AND the DUST, and scratches you know what I am talking about.

My main objective, and rationalization, for getting an E-10 was the time it would save me in my product photography. With the preliminary tests that I have made the E-10 it is going to, absolutely, more than meet my expectations and needs for quality and ease-of-use.

I would like to thank those on this board who have answered my questions, been so helpful and inspiring! I had learned so much about this camera before receiving it, by reading here, that I was up and running in no time.

Kim,

Congrats on your purchase, sounds like a pretty darn good deal.

I recall your posts of sometime back and responding once or twice. I think you're going to be very happy with the capabilities of the E-10 and with the accessory lenses as well...............enjoy, and post some photographs.

Sounds like Kim got a steal.

Congrats on the new camera. My E10 and I visited Scarborough Faire near Dallas today. I had very little work today this evening to get the images ready.

And like Kim, I've scanned photos and negatives before. It is not fun and does require a lot of work that true digital does not. :)

Again congrats and welcome to the group.
Kim,

Congrats! You have a great camera now, I have had so much fun with
mine, professionally and personally (my site below is all E-10
pics).

Enjoy!!
