  1. 1 doesn't do much for me because there's a fight between the tree trunk and the house in the back. I like the place you are photographing though.
  1. 2. I like this one but the composition seems to me off. Also level seems off. I think if you moved a bit to the right, catching the house + reflection without the trees so close on the left it would be better. I would give it another try if I was in that area.
Update: I see there's a stone there.. hmm.. I would still try several angles and see if I could get other relationships in composition while keeping the building + reflection...

makes a good photograph.'

I also don't like very much composition of this one.
There was a trail and a lot of people, I really couldn't do much better.
But I do like the different shade of green mosses, something that
we don't see here in Switzerland.

I see what you mean and I think it could have been a good idea
but I didn't remember if there was enough room on the right.
What do you mean for "level...off"? Sorry for my elementary english...
I would give it another try if I was in that area.
eh eh...maybe next year I will give it a try...

Thank you very much for your remarks.

English is not my first language either, no worries :-) What I mean is that the horizon is not horizontal. The shot seems to have the house "tiled" or "crooked" a bit.

I like the first image. The columns of the trees are arranged along the curving line of the grass edge receding into the image and is like many of the views around my park like apartment complex. There are some distractions, but the placement of trees and lines are good.
