5D MII Video-the start of where the future of photojournalism is going

Very nice work! But how do you know it was taken by the 5DII? I looked around on the site and couldn't find any info to say that. Did I miss something?

No, a colleague of mine sent me that who I believe knows the photographer.

Nice. I believe this is the future of photojournalism.
remember the video billboards in minority report.

I know of staff photogs @ local paper who are all taking courses in video and probably start shooting video clips for their web news eventually.

so much for decisive moments. shoot video... you'll get the winner on a frame. ;)
I want this camera soooo bad now.
cheers.

Thought I'd share this for those who want to check out how the 5D MII
has already been used in photojournalism. It's the future.

Excellent. However, I think this is more traditional video journalism where the DSLR is used as an superb camera. It is not just to push a butto on your DSLR to create something like this. It is a very different way to work that demands planning, stabilization with a tripod (or something else), professional sound etc.

This is exactly what I plan on using the camera for. I've worked for both movie and TV studios, a major newspaper, as well as a portrait photographer for the past 15 years and this camera gets me excited. I've been planning a year long documentary and will be using my new 5DM2 to shoot it starting in 3 weeks after I've tested it thoroughly.

I expect to see a lot of crappy videos made out there with this new cam. It's up to the guys that know a thing or two about photo, video, and storytelling that will make this camera shine!

Expect to see a lot of independent films shot with this camera.
