I bought the program from Fo2Pix before they went out of business.

Tried to install the plug-in on my new Vista machine and it will not accept the key.

I have a choice to either Buy an authorization key or use the trial version (limited to 30 times).

Has anyone else dealt with this and found a solution?

I would sorely miss the ability to use the BuZZ Simplifier filter!

Forget it, lol.

Try the new Topaz Simplifier plugin form Topaz Labs. It's currently under Beta, direct download here: http://www.topazlabs.com/src/beta/topazsimplify_beta02b.zip
The latest thread on it has already reached 150 posts,

Most of us think it is better than Buzz.

Do this -
  • go to Control Panel/User Accounts and turn off "Use User Accounts..". Restart when requested.
  • Install buzz (or just open it so you are asked for the serial code) and add the serial number when requested. DO NOT try to use it. Just leave buZZ and Photoshop open.
  • with buzz and Photoshop still open go back to the User Accounts Control and turn it back on.
  • Vista will ask you if you want to close Photoshop before Restarting - Do not do this - just say no and proceed with the Restart.
  • after the Restart open PS and buZZ normally and you should not be asked again for your serial number.
Good luck with this and your other buZZ issue which I hope is now sorted.

I can't believe how much computer trouble I've gotten myself in today!

For some reason one of my 3 HDs in my one week old Dell XPS420 has started running incessantly.

I've done lots of research on the web and have read that this can come after a program install so I did a System Restore to before the problem started.

I've also disabled the indexing in Windows Search Service and also turned off SuperFetch.

It's been running for hours - it seems to have calmed down but I'll believe it when the machine gun running stops.

I've downloaded the beta and will definitely try it!

Thanks!

i solve the hornets' nest I've created by tampering with my machine.

My hard drive has been running incessantly and I've been web surfing to find out how to diagnose the problem and been told to check task scheduler to see what's running - and I get a message that task schedule is corrupt or has been tampered with. I find that many, many people have had this problem.

Then I tried to do an error check on the c drive and I get a message that it can't be done while the drive is running.

I seem to be going in circles.
