I was curious if anyone knew if the TTL feature is able to be used withe SB-28 flash along with the Nikon D200 and if so how is it done?

No it doesn't work in CLS iTTL mode.
It only works it in A or M modes.

No to the ttl, but it works splendid in Auto or Manual mode. And in Auto, you don't have to worry about folks with their eyes closed as you do with ittl. I am perfectly happy with mine.

It works great for me in P and S modes as well. The flash needs to be set at A and the only manual setting I must do is to make sure the ISO/ASA speed are the same between the camera and the SB-28.

Not 100% sure, but the SB-28 appears not to be able to use rechargeable NiMH batteries higher than 2500 mah. It way over exposes using higher mah batteries, at least for my unit.

Mine works fine with any batteries you can put in it.

Mine is a SB28DX though.
