This old cabin sits in the middle of a self claimed salvage yard....lots to clean up in the image, perhaps too much. I thought it would be a huge challenge. Just so you know I am at work without my Wacom so I won't be able to put in a big effort for a few days. Have fun if you dare.
Just a few touches because it is pretty good as is. I adjusted the horizon so as to make both the smoke stack and the line pole non-vertical. I took out only one wire in order to make it look like the end of the line. Shadow-highlight adjustment; curves; Topaz sharpening were the only other things. Hope you like it, I enjoyed working on it as minor as my effor was.
Regards,
Jack
Thanks Deb - this is a wonderful image and I'm sure you'll get some fantastic submissions!! I thought about removing the wires etc., but on second thought, think they are all part of the story, just the way you captured the scene.

Thanks Diane, yes there was some Midnight Sepia used. Here is a quickly texture painted version, some textures a bit overdone, but was not spending that much time playing with it.
Everyone, wonderful work! But Freelance...oh my...please tell me how you made that background, overlay...old look. That is absolutely perfect for this. I'm awe struck!

The grunge was created with a piece of artwork that looks like old paper/card on a new layer set to linear burn. I also desat and added a little grain.
