Long time I could not post any images here. During a trip back from Hanover (Germany) we stopped at a pumpkin shopping barn near Lake Steinhude. You could find almost every kind of pumpkin and its preparation as food and decoration there. Below I selected some shots from my gallery. If you are interested to see more, please visit the gallery at

Alfred Eisenstaedt said “f/8 and be there.” 'And Shoot'

Fall is my favorite time of year and nothing says it better than colorful pumpkins.

I ended up over here in Oly-Land following a DocDave thread. Fun to see pumpkins from your side of the world. The still life images are charming. But, I like the Heap of Pumpkins best. Because it reminds me of all the wonderful things you can do with pumpkins.

Maybe I should go pumpkin hunting next weekend.

Mustafa - you really should post pictures in this forum! :-) #4 is my personal favourite - especially the way the shadows play accross the colours.

Mustafa, your gallery is wonderful. I'm with Judy, there are potential POTDs there! My favorite of these is the last one. Fall is also my favorite season, and my house is decorated in Fall colors.

Your gallery of the Pumpkin Barn is so colorful. I see POTDs in it. :-)
I would love to a place like that since it's a great photo op. I'll
have to check around to see if we have anything like it around here.
I am glad you like the images, Judy. That shopping barn at the countryside was specialized on pumpkins. Sure, it was a treasure for photography. For the first time I saw so many pumpkins in such a variety at once.

I am glad you like the images, Peg. I was lucky to discover that barn of pumpkins. The colors and shapes of pumpkins are so attractive, you can take only good pictures. Thanks for looking.

Thanks for your kind compliments, Lois. I am glad you like the images. Pumpkins are very attractive to photograph and belong to Fall, although I like Spring.

Have a nice Sunday,

Thank you so much for sharing I really enjoyed viewing your pumpkin gallery. We don't often see the bright orange pumpkins over here, ours are mostly Queensland Blues and the little light orange Butternuts. I did see bright orange ones for sale in the supermarket one Halloween for a hefty $20each and we don't even celebrate Halloween over here.

You have so many wonderful photos its hard to choose a favorite but I particularly like the Fully Loaded shot and the Pumpkin Barn with the hay bales.

Do you celebrate Halloween? Or is it another festival at this time of year.

Love these shots....and find it hard to pick a favorite...I have two...the first one and the one with the pumpkins in the cart. Always enjoy seeing your work Mustafa!
