What level of camera RAW files will Photoshop Elements 6 support (i.e D90, D200, D300 etc.)? Will the higher level cameras require mor sophisticated software to be able to work with the RAW file?

Well, I don't know about the D90 but Elements supports the D200 & D300 NEF files. Adobe is usually pretty good about updating ACR (Adobe Camera Raw) at or soon after major camera releases.

D200
D2H

The implementation of ACR in Elements has fewer features than that of CS3 and Lightroom - I've posted some screen grabs of it in use here: http://www.pbase.com/isolaverde/elements

The first two show the new third tab for Camera Calibration and Profiles in 4.5, the next pair show the other two tabs, as far as I know unchanged since 4.2.

Hope that's some help!
