S200: Case & extra Battery

Having to store the S200 in a waist belt case totally defeats the
purpose of a pocketable camera in the first place.
No, it doesn't. You can buy the smaller APS Elph cases and still put it in your pocket. Many people buy "pocketable" pagers, cell phones, etc... and still wear them on their belt. It is still FAR more convenient and comfortable to wear an S110 on my belt than it would be to wear a G2.

There's a nice case for s200 on amazon.com. It's a softcase that says it's pc100. It's listed in the accessories for s200, and the cost is 12.99 (Amazon dealers are selling them new at 8.39).

My tiny S200 Elph has (finally) shipped from Dell and I expect it
on Monday. I'm curious to find out if there's a tiny slip on type
case available for it. I assume because it's made of stainless
steel, that you can safely slip it in your pants pocket without
worrying about it getting scratched or damaged.

Do all of you S200/S110/S100 owners slip your bare camera into
your pocket or do you use a case and/or mini waist pak too?
Please let me know how you pack/travel with the S200 sized Elphs.

I also need to purchase an EXTRA battery for the S200. What battery
model # does the S200 use and where's the best place/price to get
it from? Battery Barn?

Thanks,

Yeah, it'd probably be too lose.. and it's rather big to fit on the loop. I have it for my s330.. i bought it for its size.. but not necessarily to pocket.. my pockets never really fit an s200 easily so it doesn't matter. I got the psc300 and found it to be too big to have on my side all the time (i wish it had one of those secure clips instead).

Another gripe i have about canon is why don't they have the LCD like the olympus ones.. hard plastic protection.

i asked this before but didn't get a definitive answer: is the case
of s300/s330 (PSC 300) better to use w/ s200 than the PSC 100?
since it has reinforced sides to prevent damage from crushing.

someone suggested that PSC 300 is too big for s200

thanks
