Here is the first user review for the LC40 from pricegrabber.com:
Reviewed by: joel234, from WA Date reviewed: 27-Apr-02
Strengths:
Excellent image quality, Leica lens really makes an excellent sof focus. 2.0 apeture makes the best low photos I have ever seen in a digital camera, Battery lasts forever, high quality build, etc.
Weaknesses:
Um..............
Summary:
"This is an excellent camera. I have recently owned a canon G1 and an Olympus C-3000. This camera kicks there BUTTS in every aspect and it is no more expensive. it retails for $700 but i got it at ecost.com for $518 dollars. what a steal. the resolution is excellent. 4 megapixels. I looked into the Olympus D-40, and it has optimum image size enhancement, but you can do that in Photoshop. Bottom line, this is probably the best 4 megapixel camera on the market other than its big brother lc5. THE LEICA PANASONIC TEAM KICKS SONY'S CARL ZEISS LOVIN' BUTT!!!!"
Gonna e-mail him to see if he can send me some samples.
