My wife and I go to the local arboretum about three or four times a year to walk around. They have nothing but tulips everywhere in the spring and different varieties the rest of the year. Nice day, a bright overhead sun, need to practice a little more on this kind of shot I guess.

I am glad to see such nice work can be done with the 560. I have had mine less than a week now. I could get my program to read the EXIF. Could you tell me the settings? Numbers 4 and 5 seem a little too light, but the others are well exposed. I am planning on a trip to the Denver Botanic Gardens, hopefully next week to try my 560 out.

Will Rogers said this in the 1930's. Funny how little things have changed.
Thanks for the comments. To be honest I haven't tried attaching the exif of my photos. I guess I better figure it out, a lot of people ask for it. 90% of the time now I use M mode and depending on the amount of light adjust the aperature, set that, and go up and down on shutter by toggling the up down outside the menu button. I find that the easiest way for me.

Beautiful, bright, and vivid. You really caught the still clarity of that day at the gardens. Just looking at your pictures gives me a sense of tranquillity. However, everything has a slight bluish tint, especially the shadows - or was the natural light really that blue?
Hi Marcus, thanks. I didn't adjust the hue so I don't know why it looks blue. I just used my normal settings. Maybe it's saturation, that may have been set on +1, I forgot to go in and change settings for the bright day.

The shots are bit overbright, but I don't see any blown out spots, so I think you've done a good job. It's so hard sometimes when the sun is so bright.
I can see why you'd want to visit there more than once a year! I wish I could make my yard as beautiful. Thanks for sharing.

We haven't been to our Botanical Garden in Boise at this year. We should do that, but it's been so hot I'm not sure it would be that pretty. Might go when it cools off.
