I've just bought an Epson R800 and a pack of ultra glossy photo paper 13x18cm (5x7 inch).

I've tried so many settings and print sizes to get the prints border-less but have had no joy.

Im printing from Aperture on a Mac. I've cropped the image to the correct ratio but still get white borders on my prints.
Can anyone give me any advise on how they are printing border-less.

Many thanks.

Dave

I no longer have an R800 and was using it on a PC, but you need to check that the "Borderless" box in the printer driver is ticked before printing.

I have an R800. Used it for ages on a PC with Adobe Elements, and borderless was no problem.

Since switching to mac/aperture, I can't get borderless either. when I first did the install, 3 mos ago, I researched the problem and found others had the same problem, and I found no solution.

Stumbled on your message doing my follow up research... so I can validate the problem but have no answer for you.

let me know if you find one!

There is no borderless box to check in the settings.
(I have an R1800 which is essentially a wide-carriage version of the R800. However, the driver may or may not have a similar interface).

Unlike the Windows driver, the Mac OS X driver does not have a separate checkbox for borderless. Instead, when you select the paper size, there are sub-options such as "5 x 7 in", "5 x 7 in (Sheet Feeder - Borderless)" that you need to select.
